Construction Update – Okiwi Eastbourne Development
Safety fencing is now in place, marking the start of our on-site works.
Our Stage 1 Civil team — Everiss Civil — will be on site Tuesday 7/10/25 to begin vegetation removal and site leveling as we move into the first phase of construction.

Update #2 November 2025
We’re pleased to share that excellent progress has been made on site, with several key milestones now complete. The platform raft is finished, around 80% of the stormwater works are in place, all manholes have been installed, and the retaining wall is complete. Construction of the boundary fence is scheduled to begin within the next week.
Over the coming weeks, we expect to complete the remaining stormwater and sewer works. The service trench — including Chorus and Power — will begin next week, and slab boxing is planned to commence on the 1st of December.
The sun and views have been added bonus for site visits!
Update #3 February 2026
All steel portals are now installed on all slabs.
Framing is well underway on Homes 3, 4, 5, and 6. Scaffolding has been erected, and the first-floor cassettes are scheduled to be installed this week/next.
Framing has also commenced on Homes 1, 2, 7, and 8. Scaffolding is due to be installed tomorrow, followed by the installation of the first-floor cassettes next week.
We are now seeing strong momentum on site as multiple trades arrive and the development continues to take shape. We look forward to providing further updates as work progresses on this exciting project.
Update #4 April 2026
We’re pleased to share that construction at the Puriri Street development is progressing well, with several key milestones now completed or underway. Cladding has been completed, while downpipes and guttering are currently in progress. Stair installation is underway, and GIB installation is advancing well internally. Internal doors are being fitted, and a number of skylights have now been installed. Looking ahead, scaffold removal is anticipated in the first week of May, which will further reveal the finished exterior. We look forward to keeping you updated as the project continues to take shape.
